Flying Arts embraces a spirit of adventure to inspire the appreciation, practice and professional development of the visual arts as a lifetime interest or career aspiration, and a creative life for all Queenslanders.
Since 1971, Flying Arts has played a significant role in inspiring artists and communities while striving to overcome the impacts of regional isolation and remote living. The organisation aims to provide equitable and affordable access to high quality arts and cultural services through its diverse scheduled program of workshops, events, projects and exhibitions for artists, educators and young artists. Flying Arts also coordinates a team of experienced facilitators and artists to deliver programs requested by schools and communities across the state.
Flying Arts is a not-for-profit organisation inspiring the appreciation, practice and professional development of the visual arts as a lifetime interest or career throughout regional and remote Queensland, supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland, the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation, the University of Southern Queensland and corporate partners and benefactors.
